Meet The Founder

Sonia Singh founded Bloom with a simple vision: to create the kind of nursery she searched for as a mother— one where every child feels valued, understood and encouraged to flourish in their own time.

A graduate of UCL and a qualified lawyer, Sonia spent six years working as Legal Counsel for the Daily Telegraph before choosing to take a career break to raise her three children. During that time, she became deeply involved in every aspect of their development—from navigating school entrance examinations and educational choices to encouraging their hobbies, interests and individual passions. Watching her children, each with their own unique personalities, strengths and challenges, reinforced her belief that confidence, wellbeing and a love of learning are the true foundations of future success.

Inspired by these personal experiences, Sonia created Bloom—a nursery built by a mum, for families, where children’s wellbeing is at the heart of everything. Bloom believes the early years are not a race to the next milestone, but a precious opportunity to build independence, curiosity, kindness and a strong sense of self. Children should be encouraged to learn through play, exploration and meaningful experiences, developing at a pace that is right for them.

Opening in Summer 2027 in the heart of Kensington, Bloom will offer exceptional early years education within a thoughtfully designed environment featuring beautiful outdoor learning spaces, an on-site kitchen serving freshly prepared, home-cooked meals, and a dedicated indoor soft play space. With nature as an extension of the classroom, children will be encouraged to explore, question and create. Sustainability will be woven into everyday life at Bloom, inspiring children to develop a lifelong respect for the environment and the world around them.

Sonia firmly believes every child deserves a happy childhood filled with confidence and curiosity—the strongest foundations for a lifetime of learning.
